It’s Here!!! It’s Finally Here!!!

You’ve been waiting months for it and now the Low Stress Handling® University is finally open to the public.

After 2 months of watching and slicing videos (at least 4 – 5 times each), editing every word and sentence, planning color schemes, developing course organizations, designing curriculums to put those courses into, and running through every setting in the system at least 50 times, not to mention the nearly than 1,000 hours that it took to do all of this, we are proud to present the Low Stress Handling® University.

Student Dashboard

The Low Stress Handling® University (a service of CattleDog Publishing), is home to the Low Stress Handling® Certification program. If you were one of the nearly 1,400 students who participated in the Low Stress Handling® Silver Certification program on either of our 2 previous hosting platforms, you will probably notice a couple of minor changes. Here are some of the things you will see in the new Low Stress Handling® University:

  • A new student interface
    • Student profiles can be updated by the student, including: password, phone number, address, and company.
    • Password resets can be accomplished by the student through the Low Stress Handing® University login page or from the student dashboard.
    • Modern, user-friendly student interface, utilizing Low Stress Handling® branded colors.
    • A Frequently Asked Questions (F.A.Q.) section which answers many of the possible questions students may have about the Low Stress Handling® University, the Low Stress Handling® Certification program, and all of the other associated courses.
    • High-quality downloadable Certificates of Completion are available for every course via the student interface for printing at the student’s leisure.
    • Course time limit date is listed in blue, just below the course title.

Full compatibility with Windows, Macintosh, smartphones, and tablets. (Some older operating systems on these devices may or may not be fully compatible.)

    • Ability to upload Certificates of Completion from other Low Stress Handling® University courses as well as courses outside of the University (i.e., Fear Free, Karen Pryor, etc.).
    • 2 Quick routes to your in-progress courses (“My Courses” and “Resume”).
    • Course expirations/time limits (180 or 90 days depending on course) are displayed at the top of every course just below the course title.
    • Easier and quicker re-enrollment process if a student needs to extend beyond the 180 day (Certification program) or 90 day (individual courses and DVD curriculums) course time limits.
    • Ability to purchase additional courses from within the Low Stress Handling® University.
    • A complete and printable transcript of courses and competencies completed through the Low Stress Handling® University.
      • For Low Stress Handling® Certification students: individual modules do not show credits as they are cumulatively listed for the completed Low Stress Handling® Certification (20 CE units).
  • Smaller video segments
    • While the lecture and lab videos are still complete, they are now broken into smaller, theme-based segments.
    • These smaller video segments will allow students to better manage their available time.
    • Smaller video segments also allow the students to better retain the information they have just learned and are better able to study the materials.
  • Discussion questions
    • For applicable course modules or individual courses, discussion questions have been reduced to a maximum of 6. Additional discussion questions are available in the Low Stress Handling® Certification Workbook and Workbook Extracts (for Individual Courses)
    • Each discussion question answer will be automatically saved. No more second logins.
    • Feedback is now given on every discussion question with possible correct answers.
    • A discussion question review document may be downloaded/printed prior to taking the final exam.
    • There will be more enhancements as we can make them.
  • Quiz & final exam questions
    • All quiz and final exam questions have been fully edited for readability and typographical errors.
    • As you are progressing through these questions, the system will now inform you which questions are correct or incorrect.
    • Eventually, we will be adding explanations about why a question answer is correct or incorrect as well as where to find the information if the answer chosen is incorrect.

Course Page. Orange bar lists course time limit date.
  • Additional resources
    • Free access to all posters and flyers currently available from CattleDog Publishing.
    • Additional non-course videos
    • Future plans:

      • Rotating banner images and videos.
  • Graduate accessibility
    • All past and future graduates of the Low Stress Handling® Silver Certification program will have renewed and continuous access to all of the videos and resources they enjoyed while progressing through the Certification program.
    • Graduates will have the ability to leave comments for fellow graduates to respond to. A rudimentary message board, if you will. Hoping to upgrade this in the future.
    • First access to Gold Level Certification when it becomes available (hoping for late 2017 or early 2018).
    • Graduates of the individual courses and curriculums will also be granted continuing access to the videos and resources of the courses they have completed.
  • New payment gateway
    • All courses and curriculums can now be purchased online via our convenient new payment gateway system.
    • Hospitals and other groups can now purchase the Low Stress Handling® Silver Certification program online.
      • Group Discount Tiers (discounts based on the cumulative total of the entire group of individuals) are available and payable online.
      • Through the Group Discount options, groups are able to purchase exactly how many seats they need without asking for an estimate or quote from CattleDog Publishing first.
    • Course and curricula purchases are made using a shopping cart system designed specifically for the Low Stress Handling® University.

  1. Being a veterinary is the most honest and humble job one can do. It is not easy to be a veterinary doctor long working hours and treating harmless animals who are not able to express themselves.
