Jack Russell Terrier Plays with his Food Puzzle
In this video, Jonesy, the Jack Russell Terrier plays with his food puzzle and quickly extracts his kibble from each of the hiding spots. It took him 3 short sessioins to get this behavior down well. At first I thought he was "slow" because in session one he would pick the wooden piece up and then look at me instead of looking for the treat he had exposed. Because he has been rewarded for picking objects up on cue it was easy for him to offer that behavior when confronted with this puzzle but it took him a while to realize that the food reward was under the the puzzle piece. Now he understands.
