Newsletter Vol 4 Fall 2011

In recent years, the United States has experienced a decline in the number of patients visiting veterinary hospitals in spite of an increase in total number of owned pets. You might think the decrease is due to the economy; however, this decline started well before the economic recession….the theme of this issue is Creating the Pet Friendly Hospital. Read on to find a few simple methods that can turn your practice into a more pleasant place for pets.

Newsletter Vol 3 Summer 2011

To kick off the release of my new photo-illustrated puppy book, Perfect Puppy in 7 Days: How to Start Your Puppy Off Right, this issue is all about early training in dogs. Of course, the information here is also applicable to puppies, juveniles and adult dogs too. The advantage to starting these exercises as soon as you get a puppy is that you have a chance to teach desired habits before unwanted ones have formed!

Newsletter Vol 2 Spring 2011

The theme of this issue is behavior as a value-added service for veterinary hospitals. Now, we can offer clients help in training their pets that these procedures are actually fun! In this issue, Dr. Yin demonstrates how to train dogs to love wearing a muzzle, and discusses technician behavior sessions, a unique service for standing out in a tough economy.
